Irene Johnson, 24, of Elm Street, and Ariel Neely, 22, of Gregory Street, both of New Haven, are each charged with sixth-degree larceny.
Police said the two were involved in thefts of clothing from Old Navy in the Westfield Trumbull Mall.
They were each released on written promises to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court.
