Trumbull Cops Charge Man with Bogus Credit Cards

Charles J. Chandler, 32, of New York, was arrested with fraud after five credits he tried to use were declined.

Chandler is charged with tampering with evidence, interfering with police, conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny and four counts of illegal use of a credit card.

Police said he tried to buy two iPads at Hawley Lane Target with five credit cards, which were all rejected. He then fled and was later stopped by police.

He is free on bond pending an Aug. 19 appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court.
