Craig Fuad Dean, 40, of Governors Lane, Fairfield, is charged with risk of injury to a minor and second-degree breach of the peace.
Police said Dean was caught by security video at a Trumbull tennis club hitting a girl he knew, in November 2013. He allegedly pulled her hair and tried to push her head into the dashboard of his car, police said.
But she did not have any apparent injuries so Dean was not charged with assault, police said.
Dean turned himself in Jan. 13, and has since pleaded guilty to reduced charges of first-degree reckless endangerment and breach of the peace.
He is free on $10,000 bond for an appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court Feb. 20.
