Trumbull Cops Identify Alleged Robber of Wells Fargo Bank

The Bridgeport man is incarcerated right now.

Rondell Eugene Williams, 31, of Rainbow Road, Bridgeport, is accused of robbing the Wells Fargo Bank in Trumbull on Nov. 23, 2012.

Trumbull Police identified him Wednesday afternoon.

"Based on a thorough investigation headed by lead Detective Rocco Testi, the Trumbull Police were able to obtain an arrest warrant," said Trumbull Deputy Police Chief Michael Harry.

"Williams, who is presently incarcerated at the Bridgeport Correctional Center, is to be charged with Robbery 3rd degree and Larceny 4th degree.   Arrangements are being made to bring Williams from the Correctional Center to court for arraignment in the near future," Harry said.

According to police, on Nov. 23 at 11:55 a.m., "a lone suspect walked into the Wells Fargo Bank located at 60 Hawley Lane, Trumbull and demanded money from one of the tellers. No weapon was displayed and the teller handed the suspect money from her station."
