Scott Salzman, 33, of Melon Patch Lane, Monroe, is charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and second-degree threatening.
Police said Salzman walked onto the alleged victim's property and threw a stick at him, cutting his face. Salzman used to date the man's girlfriend, police said.
The suspect was tracked to Monroe, where he was arrested, police said.
His bond was set at $2,500 for an appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court.
