Trumbull Cops: Man Had Drugs Near a School

Matthew David Miranti, 24, of Pine Street, Trumbull, is charged with failure to keep drugs in their original container, possession of narcotics, possession of a controlled substance and illegal possession near a school.

Police said Miranti was stopped at Old Town Road and Reservoir Avenue for motor vehicle violations. He allegedly tried to hide something before police said he admitted to having four loose Percocets.

He was stopped on Oakview Drive, near a school, police said.

His bond was set at $2,500 for an appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court.
