Alexander Keith Farrell, 24, of Nickel Place, Monroe, is charged with third-degree larceny.
Police said Farrell took a car belonging to an acquaintance and later left it undamaged in Bridgeport.
Farrell was arrested by warrant by Newtown Police, who turned him over to Trumbull.
Farrell's bond was set at $250 for an appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court.
