Trumbull Police Allege Domestic Violence, Shoplifting

Man Cut Wires, Damaged Home

Derrick Orlando Stewart, 50, of Bayberry Lane, is charged with second-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

Police said he returned home one evening and yelled at his son. He also cut electrical cords, ripped off cabinet doors and tried to pry up tile with a prybar before fleeing.

His son recorded the incident on his cell phone, police said.

Stewart is free on $10,000 bond.

Thomas Dean Tanase, 50, of Astoria, N.Y., was arrested by warrant stemming from alleged domestic violence.

He's charged with violation of probation, third-degree assault, second-degree threatening and second-degree strangulation.

Tanase is being held in lieu of $250,000 bond.

Don't Stiff the IRS

A Monroe man allegedly failed to pay back $33,000 to the Internal Revenue Service, in violation of his probation.

John Joseph Mucherino, 51, of Wheeler Road, is charged with violation of conditions of release.

He allegedly repaid about $2,500 of the debt and failed to pay the rest, police said.

His bond was set at $5,000.

New Haven Residents Charged with Shoplifting

Four people allegedly stole items from several stores at the Westfield Trumbull Mall before they were caught at Victoria's Secret.

Mignone Henderson, 51; Rashonda Henderson, 29; Shynika Henderson, 32; and Tyra Tanner, 31 are each charged with sixth-degree larceny. Shynika Henderson is also charged with possession of a shoplifting device.

Mignone Henderson is free on $1,000 bond and the others' bonds were set at $500.
