Trumbull Police Arrest 2 in Alleged Burglary

The break-in occurred on North Street in Nichols.

An "alert neighbor" led to the arrest of two males for allegedly breaking into a North Street home in Nichols on Tuesday.

"An alert neighbor in the Nichols section of town, observed two young males acting suspiciously near her home," said Deputy Police Chief Michael Harry. "A call to the Police led to the quick apprehension of two males."

One was a juvenile and the other was identified as identified as Phifer Olugbemiga, 18, of North Stowe Place, Trumbull.

The Juvenile was charged with third-degree burglary and interfering with an officer after which he was released into the custody of his mother, police said.

Olugbemiga was charged with third-degree burglary and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.  He was detained on a $250 bond, police said.

The house was vacant and there was no damage and nothing taken.
