Trumbull Police: Don't Drink and Drive

A man also allegedly injured himself confronting another man over an ex-girlfriend.

Kenneth J. Chatlos, 48, of Fernwood Road, Trumbull, is charged second-degree threatening, second-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree assault, second-degree breach of the peace, third-degree criminal mischief and driving with a suspended license.

Police said he went to a Chatfield Drive home where he confronted another man, and pulled out a fishing knife. He apparently cut himself during the incident and fled, police added.

Chatlos was held in lieu of $1,000 bond.

Another motorist was arrested after he stopped his car next to a Trumbull police officer and drank from an open beer and smoking a marijuana cigarette.

Patrick John Riley, 45, of May Street, Bridgeport, is charged with driving an unregistered motor vehicle, misuse of plates, driving under the influence, possession of less than four ounces of marijuana and drinking while driving.

He was stopped on White Plains Road where officers smelled alcohol and marijuana, police said.

An Alabama woman also faces charges of five counts of second-degree forgery and a single count of third-degree larceny.

Samantha Maxine Leonard, 20, was arrested by warrant.

And New York man who allegedly shoplifted in the Westfield Trumbull Mall is also charged with third-degree robbery and second-degree breach of the peace for allegedly struggling with store security.

John-Jairo Charris Londono, 35, is also charged with sixth-degree larceny.

His bond was set at $2,000.

All suspects are scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court.
