Wells Fargo Bank Robbed in Trumbull
The bank is near the Hawley Lane Mall. Police were looking for the suspect's car on the Merritt Parkway.

Police have released more information.
At 11:55 a.m., "a lone suspect walked into the Wells Fargo Bank located at 60 Hawley Lane, Trumbull and demanded money from one of the tellers. No weapon was displayed and the teller handed the suspect money from her station," police said in a press release.

The amount taken is undetermined and there were only a few customers in the bank at the time of the robbery. After taking the money, the suspect walked out the door to his vehicle and headed north on Rt. 108, police said.
The suspect is described as a black male, between 5’8” and 5’10”, and weighing approximately 190 pounds. The vehicle is described as a Black Buick LS. He was wearing what appeared to be a knit hat with wide white and purple horizontal stripes on it, and dark clothing. The investigation is ongoing, police said.

Just before 12 p.m., a male apparently robbed the Wells Fargo bank branch on Hawley Lane near the Hawley Lane mall. According to police radio broadcasts, the suspect is a black male who wore a purple hat. He fled in black Buick on the Merritt Parkway.
Trumbull Police are searching the highway and interviewing witnesses at the bank.
