Gov. Malloy Prepares for Convention Speech

Malloy addresses the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday evening.

Gov. Dannel Malloy is preparing to address the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C. on Wednesday. In the meantime he’s been making the media rounds and taking partisan shots as Democrats ready for their moment in the spotlight.

"It's a short speech, but it's not going to be about me,'' Malloy told the Associated Press, referencing N.J. Governor Chris Christie. "I'm not like other governors. I'm not showing up to give a speech about myself. That was rampant at the Republican convention.''

The two governors have sparred in the past through the media. Malloy is scheduled to go on stage at 6 p.m.

On MSNBC’s Morning Joe program, Malloy called the Republican National Convention a “ tea party convention that they invited a few Republicans to.”

“It was the me, me, me convention, and I think it’s going to be different here,” Malloy said, according to Politico. “This is our chance to make it very clear why our candidate is very different than Mitt Romney.”

Yes Malloy. Your candidate is VERY different, he's a proven socialist and has done nothing to improve this country. I would like to hear you site three truthful facts as to how Obama has helped us (not including Osama). Bet you can't and won't. Tell us tonight about how many more people are on foodstamps, how many more people are out of work, or how the mean household average income has dropped by about $5K since he took office. Waiting for facts tonight. Good luck. By the way everyone, the over-under on how many times Obama says "I" in his upcoming speech is 35. Count 'em.
