Democrat Martha Jankovic Mark, First Selectman Candidate, announced a "50-day push" on Sept. 16 and hired a former U.S. senatorial aide as her campaign manager.

Election Day is Nov. 5.

Mark chose Manager Francesca Capodilupo, who comes to Trumbull "with a history of success including United States Senator Amy Klobuchar’s (D, MN) 2012 re-election campaign."

"The Jankovic-Mark campaign is in full swing and has aggressive plans to make a highly visible all out effort which will include conversations with the community, its leaders and its voters," according to a statement.

“We’re moving forward at a fast pace—voters will have their voice heard to a degree never seen before in Trumbull. Martha is the right candidate for the job. Her compassion and understanding of the issues is unrivaled. It’s what makes her unique, it’s what makes her the right choice for Trumbull,” said Capodilupo.

Jankovic-Mark added, “I am so happy to welcome Francesca back to her home state and to have her with me as I continue to talk to residents about their concerns for Trumbull, from issues regarding unnecessary spending, misplaced priorities and the need to return to fair and balanced government.”

“We’re moving forward at a fast pace—voters will have their voice heard to a degree never seen before in Trumbull. "...Really!?!?! No signs, no idea where you stand on any issue at all. No platform of how you will run the town... If this is the pace of your Manager I would fire him immediately.... Tell us how does your platform differ from Herbst's? Let's hear real specifics and forget generalities and personal attacks...Tell us how you are different.

BTW, there is 36 days left and no-one knows anything about you. If your manager launches a 50 day push with only 35 days left I think it time to fire your manager...Is this what we are to expect in your appointments too?

Mark, the number discrepancy is my fault. The statement was issued Sept. 16, I should have been clearer. I'm amending the story now.

You are just looking for something to poke holes in. There is no chance you would vote for her.

Gee JR you seem to enjoy taking shots at candidates, so why can't Mark?
Dan Luposki October 01, 2013 at 09:10 AM
Fast pace??? Campaign literature not out! Signs and visibility scarce! This candidate cannot manage a campaign. She is a bitter individual whose only platform is to attack the minutia. How can she be trusted to organize town government and see the big picture? We have heard nothing. She should be great on Halloween as the ghost candidate. Missed the Mark!

KLW - I didn't say he couldn't. Just exposing his intentions. I suppose the Mark campaign could make promises and not deliver like the "Blueprint for Trumbull".
Kristy Ludlam Waizenegger October 01, 2013 at 09:21 AM
At least Mark posts under his real name!
JR October 01, 2013 at 09:23 AM
You mean like "Steve"?
Kristy Ludlam Waizenegger October 01, 2013 at 09:39 AM
Yes, you and Steve, and everyone else.

Does it make what I say less true?
Jim Flynn October 01, 2013 at 10:36 AM
Must be election time. Mark Smith has crawled out of his hole to insult the Democratic candidate for FS. Mark, time to run away. Someone is typing on a computer. And "Steve". Mamma Mia, you have to stick your two cents in two. Yes, we know who you are!!
Dan Luposki October 01, 2013 at 12:00 PM
Flynn Flam.. funny you should mention that. Still stewing? Your comments capitalize and electrify my senses.
Jim Flynn October 01, 2013 at 03:00 PM
"Steve", let me say that all the mothers in Trumbull would first select your comments to read first before they looked at mine.
