New Trumbull Park Stickers Unveiled

The sticker has not been changed since 2010.

After several years of no changes, Trumbull has a new Parks parking sticker.

All residents must get the new sticker to avoid a $25 fine.

Stickers are available for pick-up by Trumbull residents in the Town Hall Annex  Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A current motor vehicle registration must be presented in order to obtain a sticker.

Additionally, vehicle stickers limit parking at park facilities to Trumbull residents and taxpayers and are issued on private passenger, combination and camper plate vehicles. Commercial vehicles are excluded, according to the town Website.

Use of swimming areas will continue to require display of a driver’s license identification with a Trumbull address. Contact the Recreation Department at (203) 452-5060 with any questions, and to ask about obtaining park stickers for child-care providers and guests for use of local parks for picnics.

What if I work M-F 9-5??? Why couldn't these be mailed with the car tax bills?

No silly. Take a vacation day to pick up the sticker. Next time you go to Disney, you will have to fly out Thursday night instead of Sunday afternoon. BTW - that's a great idea.

I'll check on alternative ways to get a sticker.

They'll ticket (warning) you if you have it or not, then run you through a bunch of red tape when you complain about it - Trumbull Town BAU. Best way, bring a bunch of thugs with you, like I've seen first hand in the past, they won't come anywhere near you~

There is no reason for this. It shows that Herbst is more interested in collecting money to waste than setting wise policy. And trust me, Trumbull is neither unique nor special to deserve such status. When conservatives came up with the idea it was to conserve the town from outside elements which sought to ruin it. Now those elements are the people in office. When can we have pride in our town again?

Will the park stickers be available at the new CVS? Either way, you should mail them to every resident in town, as they did in the 70's rather than making them waste their time acquiring them.

Folks.... We have all been captivated by the horror in Boston. Lives Lost/Families Changed Forever/Our way of Life Challenged and you find a Political Fight over Trumbull Rec. Stickers. OMG!

I do not mind getting new stickers. I take all the car registrations and get them in one trip. What I DO mind is when there are no tickets given to cars that are parked without a sticker. There are families using the sprinkler parks who have no stickers. Day in and day out. If they are residents, get a sticker. If they are not, ticket them. Is there a date by which we have to display the new stickers? And perhaps the rec dept could offer an evening time for pick up. Or the town clerk's office, who used to have Saturday morning hours. It is doable. And pray for those in Boston. Their lives will never be the same. They are most definitely more important than stickers any day. My thoughts and prayers are with them all.
