Trumbull First Selectman Tim Herbst and Trumbull RTC Chairman Jack Testani have cast their votes for former WWE magnate Linda McMahon.
Herbst, a republican, cited her "positive message of job creation."
“Linda has the right message and the right experience for these challenging times,” Herbst said. “She has a steadfast determination to help small business owners and hardworking families by creating jobs here in Connecticut and across the country. Linda is a job creator who started a business from scratch in her basement that is today publicly traded on the NYSE and employs more than 500 people here in Connecticut. Her own success as a job creator proves she understands the challenges businesses face and can take the initiative necessary to get things done.”
“Linda truly cares about the people of Connecticut, and she is eager to meet as many of them as possible through an aggressive grassroots strategy,” he added. “She has the energy, enthusiasm and genuine interest necessary to reach out to people in every corner of the state. I know Linda will be an advocate for all of us in Washington.”
McMahon also praised Herbst, the youngest first selectman in Trumbull history. “As a local leader, Tim knows how hard our small businesses and families are working to get ahead and how important their success is to creating vibrant communities,” McMahon said. “I look forward to earning the support of people across Connecticut who share our belief that it’s time to send problem-solving job creators to Washington.”
The Trumbull republicans join a growing list of more than 165 elected and grassroots leaders to endorse McMahon. More than 2,000 people have endorsed McMahon at www.lindaforsenate2012.com.
Testani is the 71st RTC Chair to publicly support McMahon, according to a press release.
“Linda McMahon is the most logical choice for voters in Connecticut,” Testani said. “She has the strongest platform to help small businesses and working families, and she has the strongest opinions on how the federal government should interact with the states and the citizens of our country. Her background in business proves she has the leadership abilities and organizational skills necessary to represent us in the Senate. I believe she will help the taxpayers and small business owners of Connecticut become more prosperous.”
Testani has served as chair of the Trumbull RTC for the past four years.
Said McMahon, “I am honored to have Jack Testani’s support. His endorsement is one more sign of the momentum we are building every day. I am committed to making sure families like his have the support they need to thrive here in Connecticut.”
