David Rutigliano, the Republican endorsed candidate for State Representative of the 123rd District in Trumbull, has just received the endorsement of the third largest political party in the State of Connecticut. Mr Rutigliano will appear on the ballot as both the official Republican endorsed candidate as well as the endorsed Independent Party candidate.
After a thorough interview process, the committee seemed to connect with David’s no nonsense attitude, business sense and his “Commitment to Opportunity” in our state.
Connecticut is one of only 14 states that allow “cross endorsements” on the ballot, where as a candidate can appear twice on the ballot but all votes are combined to one total.
Rutigliano released the following statement:
“I am honored that the Independent party of Connecticut has chosen to join me in an effort to bring common sense to our state government. In a term where we have been burdened with the largest tax increase in state history, including an extra $200 tax for every home owner in Trumbull, the raising of the sales tax and applying it to wide variety of items and services that were previously exempted, the state still finds itself in a deficit. This defies common sense.” Rutigliano went on to say; “Any ally in the fight to get our State working again and restoring opportunity for our young people, is welcome”
David Rutigliano is running in the 123rd District to replace his friend T.R. Rowe who will be on the ballot in November for Judge of Probate.
