Renay Minkin, Aqua Zumba® Instructor, and Robin Allen -Zumba Gold instructor is partnering with Stratford Recreation in honor of Patricia Frusciante, who is currently in treatment for Metastatic Breast Cancer, is holding an Aqua Zumbathon® We will also have Gold Zumba occurring in the bleacher area.

Patricia, who has been an enthusiastic Aqua Zumba® student for some time,was originally diagnosed with stage III breast cancer in 1995. Since then she hasfaced a host of formidable challenges. In November 2005 her cancer metastasizedto her bones moving her to stage IV status. Patricia has since continued to faceweekly chemotherapy treatments-something that she does not allow to stop herfrom participating in her Aqua Zumba® routine, even when this happens to beon the same day as treatment.

Despite all of this, Patricia continues to retain a positive outlook. She is blessed tobe living with metastatic breast cancer at a time where its prognosis is excellent,with proper monitoring and treatment. She is also blessed with the wonderfulsupport of her family, friends and medical team at Medical Specialists of Fairfield,LLC as well as those atbreastcancer.org, she continues to fight this winnable fight.

Renay Minkin is a licensed Aqua Zumba® Instructor and is teaching currently inMilford, Stratford and Trumbull. Aqua Zumba® means move fast and have fun in thewater. Aqua Zumba® is the ultimate Zumba "pool party" which integrates theZumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, andblends it all together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that'scardio-conditioning, body-toning and, most of all, exhilarating.

The pool workout is also low-impact upon the joints of all participants.
