Advances in Joint Replacement Surgery

St. Vincent’s Medical Center is sponsoring a free talk open to the general public entitled “Advances in Joint Replacement Surgery,” as a part of their 2012 Spring Listen & Learn Lecture Series. The talk will take place on Wednesday, June 13, from 5:30 – 7:00 pm, at Testos’s Restaurant, 1775 Madison Avenue in Bridgeport.  A buffet dinner will be available from 5:30 – 6:00 PM. 

 Featured speakers, Joel Malin, MD and David Lo, MD will discuss the new advancements in joint replacement surgery and how new anesthesia techniques play a major role in the process and recovery.

 Joel Malin, MD is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and specializes in joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee.  Dr. Malin received his medical degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore where he also completed his internship and Orthopaedic residency. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and practices as a partner of Orthopaedic Specialty Group, P.C. with offices in Fairfield, Stratford and Shelton.

 David Lo, MD specializes and is board certified in anesthesiology. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists. Dr. Lo received his medical degree at State University of NY/Health Science Center at Brooklyn, Medical School. He completed his residency at Stony Brook School of Medicine in New York. He is a member of Medical Anesthesiology Associates, P.C. located in Shelton.

 A question and answer session will follow the presentation, and dinner will be provided from 5:30 – 6:00 PM.
