Author, Journalist Diane Smith Highlights 'A Connecticut Christmas'

Emmy Award-winning journalist Diane Smith will appear at to take a "trip" through Connecticut through her book, "A Connecticut Christmas," 6:30-7:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, in the Community Room.

The author and Positively Connecticut television journalist highlights things to see and do during the holidays. Through a compelling blend of inspiring, funny, and heartwarming essays and stunning color photographs, "A Connecticut Christmas" presents holiday scenes and activities, snow games, classic Colonial houses, light displays, craft shows, holiday home tours, and more. The book also includes a where-to appendix and a choice selection of delectable holiday recipes!   

On the air in Connecticut since 1982 as a local news anchor and reporter, Smith now has a weekly magazine series for CPT called "All Things Connecticut." She is also the author of "Summer in Connecticut" and "Seasons in Connecticut."

Smith is a 2010 recipient of the Connecticut Governor's Award for Excellence in Culture and Tourism. 

This is a drop-in event. Doors open 6:15pm.  Books will be available for purchase.
