Tall tales and hidden truths surrounding "The Old Leather Man" will be the focus of a talk by author and historian Dan DeLuca on Sunday, Jan. 16, at the . The talk, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 1:30 p.m. following a brief meeting of the society. In case of inclement weather, the talk will be held Jan. 23.
DeLuca has spent more than 20 years researching the life of the Leatherman, a hermit whose wanderings through parts of Connecticut and New York were documented during the late nineteenth century. DeLuca, who wrote a book about the Leatherman in 2008, will present new discoveries about the man's travels in the Trumbull area. For more information, call 203-377-6620.
