THS Winter Percussion Warming Up with 'Mirage'

Normally you need to watch out for mirages, but this time you can trust your eyes.

"The 30 members of Trumbull High School's Golden Eagle Marching Band
Winter Percussion program have found the perfect way to beat the winter
doldrums this year," said Valerie Newman, vice president for Public Relations And Marketing of the Golden Eagles Marching Band.

Winter Percussion Director Tom Whitmoyer announced the theme for this year's ensemble will be a desert mirage. The percussionists have already begun to practice "Mirage" in preparation for their first show at Dartmouth High School in Massachusetts on Feb. 22.

Trumbull High School will host the World Guard International (WGI)
regional competition this year on March 1. Trumbull's Winter Percussion group won last year's regional competition and placed fourth in the international competition held in Dayton Ohio last year.
