Trumbull Cheerleader Dies

Superintendent of Schools Gary Cialfi said on Saturday, June 14, 2014 that Trumbull High School student and varsity cheerleader Abigail Anderson has died. 

[Update 6/16/14 1:11 p.m.] According to the obituary, Anderson passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014. 

The Trumbull Times reported Saturday that a recorded message was sent to Trumbull students stating that the high school sophomore had died. Grief counselors were available to students Sunday at Trumbull High School. Cialfi expressed his heartfelt sympathy for the Anderson family and friends.

Anderson's classmates took to Twitter to express their condolences to the family describing her as  "perfect," "a great person," and a fellow cheerleader said she was "the best flyer on our team."
