St Joseph High School "Mr Student Body" Showcases Talent, Humor, and Shredded Dance Dignity – all for an Important Cause

Who will be crowned Mr Student Body? Find out tonight, March 26 at St Joseph High School, Trumbull. Showtime is 7pm, tickets $5 – and all proceeds go to the Center for Women & Families.

“I have not had a workout like this since football triples,” says St Joe’s senior, Nick DelBuono. Is he preparing for a triathalon? Swim Across the Sound? Tough Mudder?

The answer is no to all: Nick – along with more than two dozen other young men from the St Joseph High School senior class – has been practicing the choreography for tonight’s “Mr Student Body” Talent Show, at St Joe's in Trumbull. “I never sweated and laughed so much in the same place at the same time,” says Nick’s fellow participant, senior Jake Pelletier.

At the heart of all the fun is a true commitment to a very real and important cause. Proceeds from the show go to the Center for Women & Families’ White Ribbon Campaign, aimed at inspiring men to take an active role in ending gender-based violence. With so many disturbing headlines in the news surrounding teen and high-school student behavior in recent weeks, St Joseph High School is proud to see their young men and women standing together to promote healthy relationships, respect, and gender equality.

St Joseph’s Montelli Court will be packed with the entire school community and then some, with the public turning out to support the cause, cheer on these intrepid young men, laugh hysterically, and ultimately crown one St Joe senior “Mr Student Body.”

“I might have Miss America legs…but I have Mr Student Body talent,” challenges Steven D’Asconio. Has he got what it takes? Find out tonight, March 26. Showtime is 7pm, tickets $5 – and all proceeds go to the Center for Women & Families. See you there!
