Support Female Veterans

Starting in June, female veterans, their families and supporters from all over the state of Connecticut will be uniting to run in several races to raise funds for their fellow women veterans. Inspired by Lauren Cust, a female veteran who served in Iraq, the team is taking on some of the toughest races in the country throughout the spring, summer and fall. These races include, The 2013 Merrell Down & Dirty National Obstacle and Mud Run (Hartford at Riverside Park on June 23rd, 2013), Run or Dye (Rentschler Field in Hartford on July 20th, 2013 at 9:00 a.m), The Electric Run (Hartford, CT August 10, 2013), Hope For The Warriors 5K Race/Walk (Shelton, CT August 18th, 2013), The Warrior Dash (Thompson, CT Sept. 21, 2013) and the Tough Mudder in (Tri State in NJ, October 12, 2013). The team is looking for individual, corporate, service organization and other sponsorships. The funds raised will go to AMVETS Post 43, Female Veterans Committee. These funds will be used to continue outreach and support to fellow veterans in need, advocacy for veteran’s issues and education of benefits and the public.
