TYA presents "Footloose"

A fun evening of musical theater

The Trumbull Youth Association presents its 43rd annual summer musical, “Footloose,” August 2nd through 5th. This stage adaptation of the iconic 1984 movie—and its recent 2011 remake—will take you back to the era of shoulder pads, leg warmers, and big hair with its high-energy dancing and its absorbing tale of teens trying to convince a town that “Dancing Is Not a Crime!”

The show features 56 talented area teens and college students, under the direction of a production staff of musical theater veterans, who are dedicated to bringing a high-quality theater experience to the Trumbull community.  Favorite songs of the ‘80s include “Holding Out for a Hero,” “Let’s Hear It for the Boy,” “Almost Paradise,” and of course, the show-stopping “Footloose.”

Tickets are $16 in advance or at the door. To order tickets online, visit www.trumbullyouth.org. Show times are August 2, 3, and 4 at 8pm, and August 5 at 2pm. The show will be presented in the air-conditioned auditorium of Madison Middle School, 4630 Madison Avenue, Trumbull.
