Bridgeport Regional Business Council Welcomes New Staff

by Karen DelVecchio

The Bridgeport Regional Business Council recently welcomed two new staff members.  Helen M. McKee brings a wealth of experience to her role as the Director of Finance.  Helen received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Penn State University and brings over 20 years of accounting experience to the Business Council.  She is well versed in many areas of finance including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Financial Reporting.  Her work as an Accountant and Assistant Controller in the private sector helps her bring tremendous skills to the Business Council.

In late January, Benny Palmieri joined the staff as the Director of Communications.  Benny recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Sacred Heart University John F. Welch School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and brings a tremendous amount of skill, talent and creativity to the Business Council.  His past experience as a Customer Service Representative also helps him to bring great interpersonal skills that are so important in developing relationships with Business Council members.

Both Helen and Benny bring powerful skills and positive energy to their Business Council work.   They are already playing key roles in the work that the Business Council does and are welcome additions to the staff.   “In our current economic environment, finding the right people to fill key positions in any business is a challenge. We’re especially pleased that we have recently placed two exceptional performers here at the Business Council in Helen McKee, our new Director of Finance, and Benny Palmieri, our new Director of Communications. Their skill level and positive customer service attitude will help us further improvement our member / investor relations and level of service”, said Paul S. Timpanelli, President & CEO of The Bridgeport Regional Business Council.
