Nichols Teens Washing Cars, Selling Cookies

Does your car need a spring bath? How about if it helps the Special Olympics?
Members of the Nichols Improvement Association (NIA) Nichols Teens Give Back will wash your car for $5 on May 19 at the Starkweather House, 1773 Huntington Turnpike, said Nell Condron, a St. Joseph High School student and NGTB member.
While you're waiting, buy a cookie to benefit the Special Olympics. The event will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
"The group’s mission is to volunteer, support and give back to the community," Condron said.
She said Special Olympics was chosen after two of the NTGB members raised money to participate in The Penguin Plunge, where they jumped into the Long Island Sound in March, 2013.
Other events are planned to raise funds for for organizations.
