Oxford resident Mike Gamauf is a contributing writer for Oxford Patch. He is also a contributing editor for Business & Commercial Aviation, (Aviation Week Group) published by McGraw-Hill. He currently writes a monthly column called the Director of Maintenance Notebook, focused on the needs of aviation maintenance professionals. He also covers news on aviation safety and technology. He was a short list nominee for the Aviation Journalist of the year in 2005. In addition to his work at B/CA, he writes free lance articles on outdoors sports and technology. He has a Masters Degree in Aviation Safety, and a Masters in Adult Education Techology, is a licensed aicraft mechanic, inspector and helicopter pilot. He lives in Oxford, CT, with his wife and two children.
