Trumbull Cops: Brother and Sister Had Funny Money

The following arrest information comes from Trumbull Police and does not indicate convictions.

A brother and sister are accused of using counterfeit money in a Westfield Trumbull Mall shoe store.
Tawana Shrisa Allen, 40, of Hanover Street, Bridgeport, is charged with interfering with police for allegedly giving false information. She surrendered to police May 9.
Marvin Shawn Allen, 37, of Robin Street, Bridgeport, is charged with 12 counts of first-degree forgery and one count of sixth-degree larceny. He turned himself in to police May 11, police said.
Police said Tawana Allen worked at the Shoe Department where her brother paid for merchandise with 12 phony $20s.
Marvin Allen's bond was set at $50,000.

All suspects are scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court.
