Zach Carrano recorded 24 saves Wednesday as the boys hockey team blanked Amity 3-0 in a Division I first-round game at the Shelton Ice Rinks.
St. Joseph (19-5), the No. 4 seed, went 3-0 against Amity this season after losing to the Spartans 6-5 in last year's Division II title game. Both teams moved up to Division I this year.
