Trumbull Ranked 7th Best Town for Families

Family Circle magazine issued the ranking.

Family Circle magazine has ranked Trumbull seventh on the 10 Best Towns for Families.

The magazine quotes Town Council Member Martha Jankovic-Mark as saying, "Some people say New Englanders are chilly, but people here are warm and really help each other out. Trumbull is a jewel." She also cites activities including "sledding on the nearby hills in winter or hiking in summertime on the Pequonnock River Valley trails."

The town was ranked based on population (36,167), median income ($93,986), Median Home Price ($344,000), and Households with Kids (41 percent). It also has a 17:1 student/teacher ratio and was given a 9 in the Great Schools category, the article states.
