THS Choir Tours in England

The Trumbull High School Choir recently returned from a fast-paced trip to England over Spring Break.  A combination of performing, learning and time with friends, trips like this are offered to choir students every other year and are an enriching experience for young students.

While in England the Choir performed at Worcester Cathedral, the University Church at Oxford and at St. Paul’s Church, Covent Garden in London.  Along the way they toured Stonehenge, Winchester Cathedral, Shakespeare’s home in Stratford-upon-Avon, the Roman Baths and the Royal Crescent and Abbey in Bath and the colleges at Oxford.  In London they visited Westminster Abbey, the British Museum, the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace and St. Paul’s Cathedral.

“We were so proud of the exceptional way in which the students represented our school, our town and our country throughout the tour,” said Choir Director Anne Tornillo, “as Trumbull choir students have done throughout the years whenever we’ve had the opportunity to travel together.”

The THS Choir would like to thank the Trumbull community for their generosity and support of choir activities, making trips like this possible for scholarship students.

It won’t be long until the THS Choirs will perform again here at home.  On Wednesday, May 21 the five Trumbull High School choral groups will present their annual Spring Concert at 7:30 pm in the Trumbull High School Auditorium, 72 Strobel Road.  Tickets are $5 each, available at the door.  The Concert Choir, the Chamber Singers, the Freshman Chorus, the Women’s Ensemble and the Men’s Ensemble will perform.  Please join us.
