4 THS Grads from Trumbull Mormon Church on a Mission

By the end of the month, four Trumbull High School graduates from the Trumbull Ward of the Church of Latter Day Saints will be living their faith abroad.

"The concept of young people postponing their lives, and leaving school, family, and friends for 1 1/2 to 2 years to serve other people is a  fascinating concept," said Teresa Hogan, director of Public Affairs for the New Haven CT Stake (area), Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Anne Hogan, Class of 2010, left in April and is currently serving in Houston, Texas, where she will be speaking Spanish. Emily Yankura, Class of 2011, has left for Brazil where she will be speaking Portuguese.

Michael Yankura, Class of 2013, leaves in August and will be serving in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., speaking Spanish. Crystal Hogan, class of 2012, also leaves in August and will be serving in Federal Way, Wash.

The Hogans are the daughters of Teresa Hogan.
