Apple Products Demo!  One Book - One Town Event.   Sat. Mar. 9, 10am – 12pm.  Come see them in action!  Richard Corzo, president of the Danbury Area Computer Society, will demonstrate Apple products and discuss how they all work together!  Everything is there, including newer products, such as Airplay and the Apple TV Box.   Drop in.

Mar. 10, 2 – 4pm.  Steve Jobs changed the way people listen to music through iTunes and the iPod!  Linda Ury Greenberg will show how the music industry adapted to a digital world and adjusted to consumers who wanted individual songs more than full albums.  Drop in. 


“Is This Thing On?”  How Seniors, Late Bloomers and Technophobes Can Navigate the Ever-Changing Tech. Landscape.  One Book - One Town Event.  Mon. Mar. 11, 11am – 12pm.  The digital divide widens with the rapid pace of innovation. What’s out there and its benefits can be lost in all the tech talk.  Presenter Abby Stokes, author of Is This Thing On? will help “digital immigrants” (born without a keyboard and mouse in hand) understand more about computers, and much more, including Facebook, iPads, Skype, etc.  Drop in. Unsung Heroines of American History.   Thurs. Mar. 14, 7 – 8pm.  They say history is mostly written by men about men, but tonight you will hear about many of the true heroines of this country!  Tonight the local AAUW Branch will present an evening about the lost but important women of American history from the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, WW II, to nearer the present!    Co-sponsored by AAUW and the Trumbull Library.   Reservations requested.

Children’s Events


Family Chess Club.  Sat. Mar. 2,  10am – 12pm.  Selva Selvarajan's Family Chess Club will assemble on the first and third Saturdays (except for long weekends).  Meet us on the next Saturday -- to participate or learn!   Chess learners and experts from 4 to 94 are welcome. Meet in the Children's Section with your own board, or come to watch.

Learn How to Use the Future: Introducing 3D Printing! One Book - One Town Event.  Wednesdays at the Fairchild Branch, Mar. 6, 13, 20, 27, 3 – 5pm.  Go from desktop publishing to desktop manufacturing!  It’s simpler than it sounds, and experts think this machine will change the world.  3D printing (additive machining) makes a physical object from computer files, like a layer cake!  See our demo.  All ages.  Free.  Drop in.  FN Branch, 1718 Huntington Tpke., Trumbull.
