Trumbull Day 2014 Set for End of June

A relatively new Trumbull tradition, Trumbull Day, returns this year on Saturday, June 28.

Originally established in 1972 to celebrate the Town of Trumbull’s 175th Anniversary, Trumbull Day is a fun-filled family event highlighting the best of what Trumbull has to offer — from its people to businesses to non-profits and other local organizations.

In keeping with tradition, the Trumbull Day Commission has selected the fields behind Trumbull High School (72 Strobel Road) and Hillcrest Middle School as the site for Trumbull Day 2014.

The event will open at noon with the fun and amusements of carnival rides and games; a spectacular fireworks display will close the evening. The main stage will feature a variety of live musical acts, and each of the bands has a close tie to Trumbull. There will also be several food vendors, a wine and beer tent, arts and crafts vendors, and a lively children’s entertainment area.

Volunteers are needed to help out on Trumbull Day. If you are interested in volunteering at Trumbull Day, please contact Elizabeth Mastroianni at emastroianni.trumbullday@gmail.com.
