Trumbull's Hillcrest Students to Sing at Hospital Tree Lighting

It is the 10th annual tree lighting at St. Vincent's Medical Center.

St. Vincent’s Employee of the Year  Lucinda I. Ames of Derby will flip the switch to turn on the lights and place the angel atop the 16-foot Christmas tree in the lobby of St. Vincent’s Medical Center on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 1 p.m.

Students from Hillcrest Middle School in Trumbull will sing holiday songs during the ceremonies.

Ames will be brought to the top of the giant tree by means of a pneumatic mechanical lift following remarks by St. Vincent’s Health Services  President/CEO Susan L. Davis, RN, EdD, and St. Vincent’s Medical Center President Stuart Marcus, MD, who will welcome the gathering of employees and visitors. Santa and Mrs. Claus along with “Alberta Spruce” the Christmas Tree  will also greet those in attendance after making a grand entrance into the lobby on an electric scooter. Rumor has it that the Grinch may turn up to make some mischief!
