In my opinion, the Trumbull Public Library is the best feature the town has to offer. Over the years it has become a second home for me. Even with the budget cuts, and despite the need to spend money on electronic books for those who prefer to hold a Kindle rather than a traditional book, the library still manages to fill it's shelves with New York Times bestsellers. The library is well designed. It is airy and spacious. Like Doctor Who's TARDIS, when you stand inside the library, it seems larger than you might have believed when you first approached the front door. The staff that interacts directly with the Public are very helpful and friendly. The public events hosted by the library are very welcome in these times of economic austerity. My most sincere best wishes to everyone involved with the Trumbull Library, from the days when it was a few blocks further down Main Street and concrete lions guarded the front door, thru the present time when it has become an oasis of calm and conversation in the midst of a chaotic world.
