Grab & Go Kids Planner: Marvelous Me and the Library

This week, Trumbull kids can spend time working on art projects, learning new crafts and enter their creative work in a contest at the Library.

This week, Trumbull kids can spend time working on art projects, learning new crafts and enter their creative work in a contest at the Library.


FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK


Where/When:   on Mar. 23 at 5 p.m.
Why Go:  This Bingo event takes place every Wednesday and includes 20 games with weekly jackpots as high as $1,600. Families welcome. Kids 12 and older can play.
Pricing:  $2 admission. Bingo card fee is seperate.


Where/When:   on Mar. 26 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Why Go:   Kids age 7 and older are welcome to attend this series of art workshops on Saturdays to help develop art skills and creativity and encourage exploration of famous works of art. The sessions include one-on-one instruction and challange kids with open ended projects that require creativity to complete.
Pricing:  $20/workshop

Where/When: on Mar. 30 from 4-5 p.m.
Why Go:   Kids age 7 and older are invited to this class for a chance to use materials including twigs, sticks, stone, moss, shells, silk flowers & other natural embellishments to design a tabletop “woodland cottage”… ready for a gnome or garden fairy to move in this spring! Participants will also create a beautiful beribboned fairy bookmark.
Pricing: $18

Where/When:   now through April 17.
Why Go:  Kids in grades K-5 are invited to the library to pick up and decorate a paper cut-out “body” and entry form to show "who you are" at Children’s Desk or Elementary School offices. The “Marvelous Me” contest part of this year's "One Book One Town" and is designed to get kids thinking about the importance of genes, and how our genes make each one of us a unique individual.

Why Go: Come down and see performances filled with song and dance for the entire family to enjoy.
