The Stern Village community was pleased to have Michelle O'Mara from the Diocese of Bridgeport, discuss motherhood, as depicted in the liturgy.
Stern Village hosted a special Mother's Day celebration last Friday, May 3. The event featured Michelle O'Mara, Director of Ministries for the Disabled at the Diocese of Bridgeport.
During her visit, Mrs. O'Mara shared her own personal motherhood experiences and discussed her role as a caretaker, spiritual force, and nurturer. Her presentation focused on biblical mothers, as she sited several biblical references to provide the Stern Village community with insight on the subject. She portrayed their struggles with adversity and their roles as depicted in the liturgy.
Members of the Stern Village community warmly welcomed Michelle's visit, as several of the attendees shared their own personal accounts and recollections.
