3 Charged With Phony Money in Trumbull

Three men are accused of passing fake $100s in Trumbull.

Arrested were Adam S. Robinson, 34, of West Haven; Charles Robert Kelly, 35, and Tyrell Michael Walton, 32, both of Hamden, are each charged with fifth-degree larceny.

Robinson is charged with 19 counts of first-degree forgery and Walton and Kelly each with one count of first-degree forgery.

Police said the trio used fake bills at Target to buy about $278 in merchandise and went on to Best Buy. But they fled Best Buy before purchasing any items, police said.

Officers stopped their car and found more fake $100s, according to police.

Robinson's bond was set at $25,000; Kelly, $50,000; and Walton's at $50,000, for appearances in Bridgeport Superior Court.
