A Busy Day for Trumbull Cops: A Baby Bull and Burglars

While Trumbull officers were busy looking for an escaped 8-month-old bull about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, another report came in of "suspicious youths" in the rear of a Franklin Street area home.

"At 11:42 a.m., three suspicious youths were reported behind a home in the area of Franklin Street. Officers were dispatched to area, locating one of the individuals," said Trumbull Deputy Police Chief Michael Harry.

"During an identity check, it became apparent that the 19-year-old white male had items that did not belong to him.  A check of those belongings led officers to a nearby home that had been burglarized.

"Other officers were able to locate two 17-year-old juveniles who were subsequently taken into custody. They are still being processed at this time," Harry said Tuesday evening.

No further information on the suspects was available Tuesday night, Harry said.
