Police: Argument Turns to Eye Gouging

There were several domestic incidents since the beginning of the month.

A New York man allegedly tried to gouge a woman's eyes during a recent domestic dispute.

Thomas Dean Tanase, 48, of Astoria, is charged with third-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

Police said Tanase, who was arrested at , tried to put his thumb's into the woman's eyes and punched a hole in a wall on Jan. 30. She reported the incident two days later, police said.

His bond was set at $2,500.

Another man, Mark Robert Janos, 54, of Lewis Road, is charged with two counts each of violation of protective orderand violation of a restraining order. Police said in one instance he sat in his parked car and watched the alleged victim.

His bond was set at $75,000.

Lastly, Kimberly A. Trimble, 55, is charged with third-degree assault for allegedly hitting and kicking a man.

Her bond was set at $1,500.

In a third incident, a woman was accused of harassing a man. Leslie Perrotti, 46, of Chatfield Drive, is charged with interfering with police, violation of a protective order and two counts of disorderly conduct.

Police said the alleged harassment led to an argument, and that Perrotti had to be dry stunned for not cooperating with officers in booking.

She was held in lieu of $12,000 bond and appeared in Bridgeport Superior Court Friday.

The other suspects are also scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court.
