Taran Dicks, 29, of Bridgeport, is charged with DUI and driving with a suspended license after police questioned him in his car.
Police said Dicks was sitting in a damaged car and claimed to be lost when officers questioned him. There was an odor of alcohol and Dicks seemed disoriented, police said.
The passenger side of the car had flat tires and other damage, police said.
Dicks failed field sobriety tests with a blood-alcohol content level of 0.188 and 0.177, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08, police said.
His bond was set at $500 for an appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court.
