Trumbull Cops: Man Broke into Cars at the Movies

A man reportedly disobeyed police officers and smashed a car window at Bow Tie Cinemas recently.

Javier Sosa Figueroa, 34, of Stevens Avenue, West Haven, is charged with third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal trespass, tamper and sixth-degree larceny.

Police said Figueroa was spotted placing fliers on cars and was asked to stop, but refused. It was later reported that a car window had been smashed and items taken, and that he had been looking in cars with a flashlight.

He also allegedly had a ceramic sparkplug that was used to break the window.

He is scheduled to appear Oct. 10 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
