Trumbull Cops: Men Stole Sweatshirts, Pants

A Waterbury man is accused of conspiring to try to steal nearly $2,700 in merchandise from Lord & Taylor.

Joey Tyrone Cousins, 39, of Central Avenue, Waterbury, is charged with conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny.

Police said two suspects were reported stealing from Lord & Taylor. Cousins was identified but the other suspect evaded capture, police said. They walked out of the store with armloads of sweatshirts and sweatpants, with a total value $2,660, police said.

Cousins is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court.
