It really speaks volumes that Trumbull Republicans powered Linda McMahon to a victory in Trumbull. Also T.R. Rowe - for very different reasons. Linda McMahon has now cost the GOP two senate seats in Connecticut. You would have thought they would have learned their lesson two years ago. The people of CT do not like someone who gets rich selling softcover pornography and abuse against women and then tries to rebrand herself with a $50 million ad campaign - hiding the past she so proudly displayed when it served her purpose. It is really telling that the Republicans passed over honorable and decent public servants like Rob Simmons and Chris Shays for such a shallow candidate like McMahon. Obviously it's all about the money - as it always is with the GOP. As for T.R. Rowe, he's a good and decent man and he's served his party well in the legislature, but his qualifications and years of experience for Probate Judge can't hold a candle to those of Amy Todisco. So obviously the Republicans put party over quality - again as they so regularly do. The citizens of Trumbull. deserve better.

That is quite an inflammatory accusation. In fact, I would call it libelous. Cyber-libel is a serious issue and I hope that Ms. Todisco takes whatever legal steps are necessary to protect her hard-earned good reputation. To the editor: This flagrantly libelous post should be removed immediately.

I am so sorry to the people of Turnbull! for what they are stuck with. That is why I know in my heart that i won this election! They will never allow our kind to hold temporal authority or office, but we will fight every single day to ensure that justice is done regardless of what joker they say is your representative, and whom they pay a salary in your name. Thankfully this does break our longstanding obligation to mutually serve, and though I am finished with electoral politics, thank you for the many people who wanted to vote for me but couldn't. Its good to be a democrat again....this way I have some cover from the corrupt bargain that the two local 'party' groups have become. Onwards, and upwards.....

sadly for the people Joan, libel regarding public personas is much different than for the average person. Both Rowe and Todisco are separate heads of the same snake

You should join President Romney's cabinet. He thought he won the elction to. Louie, you were TROUNCED. You received less than 100 votes. That wouldn't even win the election for Trumbull dogcatcher. First, you turned your back on the Democratic Party by leaving the party and then spent all your time trashing the party you switched to. Why should anybody ever trust you to represent their interests? By the way, nobody believes you when you say you are a Democrat today.
louis November 23, 2012 at 07:18 PM
I have never turned my back on the Democratic Party. These local nobodies are not democrats. I have no interest in representing a provincial town of nothing such as this. There is a reason why never has there ever been anyone from this little village who has ever resulted in any importance. I am a registered democrat. I need not fulfill your requirements. If you hold a position of influence, Jim, it was won in an untoward manner. You have no idea who I am. The people cannot be trusted with our fate, especially when it comes to places where all of these march in lockstep as they do in this place. Keep thinking you know what you are doing, because you do not. My family, apart from 5 months when I ran for office in this town where everyone has sold out and the democratic committee has decided to allow the colluded election of a fool, with no experience, simply because he is one of their boys, no skin off my nose. I never had anything to do with this towns politics, I only did so out of necessity. Are you challenging Christiano for going for a pint at Marissa's to celebrate the Republican victory. You are a hack. If you want a serious conversation with a real democrat, call me up, as for you, I'm pretty certain you are rubbish
louis November 23, 2012 at 07:21 PM
and you can rest assured that my name will never appear on a ballot in this hellhole again. You people are certain to get what you deserve. But when your arrogance is gone. When you are stuck with jackasses controlling your fate, chaulk it up to a misinterpretaion of some prophesy or some lack of understanding of democracy. These people are along for the ride, they are not leaders and don't come looking to me, because I will slam the door in your face
louis November 23, 2012 at 07:32 PM
I should tell you Jim, irish man.....I like the Flynn's...always did, but my relatives were democrats in this country since 1830. I have held national jobs with them and always an active member. Democrats, Jim, open their mouths when something is wrong and they fight against the type of evils that this town has come to symbolise. They fight for the freedom of choice, of the individual of speech that the normal day to day tyrany removes from us. They fight like heck against all manners of injustice because we know what happens when the other side gets in control. My relatives were democrats since before an organised party existed in this country. When they came from Italy or Ireland or Scotland, when they held landed estates in England. Kepp trusting in fanatism, Jim. Keep putting your faith in ideology or the banner that binds you together. It gives you some focus, but it will not save you in the end

Louis and I had a conversation in Italian and Patch deleted it? Mi sono fatto con la patch!!! ( I'm all done with Patch!!!)
TrumbullProgressive November 24, 2012 at 10:42 PM
TD, I thought your comment in Italian was right on the money. What's so offensive about the word rubbish?
