Former All-State linebacker Tyler Matakevich will continue his football career at Temple University.
Matakevich, who led the Cadets to a pair of state championships, made a verbal commitment to the Owls on Thursday.
After graduating from St. Joseph in 2010, he played this past season at Milford Academy in upstate New York. Matakevich will enroll at Temple for the start of the second semester next week.
“I’m so happy to finally get this done after all that hard work," he told the Connecticut Post. " It’s finally paid off.”
